Abstract:

To solve problems that thermal efficiency is low and refractory such as fine ceramic used as a heat conducting plate is expensive and difficult to form large sized one in the conventional indirect heating type lime kiln, though there are many merit compared to a direct heating type lime kiln that high quality quick lime is manufactured, the recovery of carbon dioxide produced in the decomposition of lime stone is facilitated and waste is recycled as fuel.

In the indirect heating type lime kiln, the sensitive heat of quick lime is used for preheating lime stone with produced carbon dioxide gas as a heating medium, a part of carbon dioxide gas for cooling is passed through a heat transfer pipe for firing lime stone to increase the heat transfer to improve the thermal efficiency and the heat transfer pipe in a firing zone is formed by producing short pipes capable of being easily molded from the refractory to be used and connecting the short pipes. As a result, the practical lime kiln is constructed.
