Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a special display device for mark display by storing indexes or their contents on a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A desired index word is inputted by using character keys CK and a retrieval key SK is operated, so that the readout control part 4 of a memory unit 2 retrieves the index word, inputted to a buffer 6, from a table in the memory 2. A mark information readout part 17 reads the contents of an MM mark memory 15 which correspond to the track number in a TB buffer 5. On the basis of this signal, a background color signal generating part 18 outputs video signals which are different in background color between a marked area and an unmarked area, and a mixing circuit 9 mixes a video signal from a video disk device 7 with said video signals as a telop. The index word is decoded by a decoder DC and superposed upon the playback signal of the video disk device 7 by a mixing circuit 8.
