To easily perform the selection of a range-finding point for multipoint AF and the switching between an AF automatic selection mode and an AF optional selection mode.
An AF automatic selection member is arranged in the middle of at least a pair of input members for switching the range-finding point to a right-and-left or up-and-down direction at a position on the back of the camera where operation is performed with a thumb, so that the mode is switched to the AF automatic selection mode through one action. By pressing the above-mentioned selection member again when AF automatic selection is set, the automatic selection is switched to optional selection, and the input of an optional selection member is not accepted when the AF automatic selection mode is set.
