To provide an inspecting method in which printing omission of an entire printing region which expresses individual recognition information having characters and/or a bar code for expressing the individual recognition information printed to an object to be inspected can be correctly inspected in spite of by a simple apparatus and at a low cost, and moreover in which a processing time can be shortened.
Whether the individual recognition information is printed is efficiently correctly inspected by an imaging device 29 which captures an image of a printing state checking line prepared in the vicinity of the characters and/or the bar code as the individual recognition information printed to the object to be inspected 27 at an inspecting part 20, and an image processing part 21 which determines whether or not the captured image is good by processing the captured image and inspecting pixels of the captured image.
