Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately and quantitatively inspect the precision of a stripe position on a panel inner surface by processing images of black stripes and fluorescent stripes through a process of irradiating the inner surface of a picture tube panel with an ultraviolet ray and irradiating the outer surface with a visible light.
CONSTITUTION: A visible light irradiates the outer surface of a picture tube panel 5, a carbon stripe CS image transmitted through the panel 5 is taken into an image pick-up camera 7 and digitized by an image processing unit 3, and then image operation is performed by a control unit 4 and the positional precision of the CS image is inspected. The fluorescent stripes PS are made to emit the light by radiating an ultraviolet ray emitted from an ultraviolet lamp 6 to the inner surface of the panel 5, taken into the camera 7 through a spectral filter 11, and input into the image processing unit 3 and the control unit 4, and the positional precision of the PS image is inspected. The image data output from the image processing unit 3 is projectively operated into the stripe forming direction, and the concentration value data is extracted and differential-processed in the stripe intersecting direction, and the concentration value changing data is extracted.
