To provide a jacking excavation device collectable through a manhole without constructing an arriving vertical shaft for recovery, which allows a reuse of the recovered jacking excavation device, a reduction both in a cost and a period of construction and also a split-recovery for an easier work.
A rotary excavating portion 12 is placed at the tip point of a cylindrical outer shell pipe 2, inside of which a driver of the rotary excavating portion and a mud discharging pipe 18 for discharging the mud excavated by the rotary excavating portion are received. This cylindrical outer shell pipe 2 of the jacking excavation device is comprised of sheet-shaped outer shell members 5 by dividing the cylindrical outer shell pipe 2 into a plurality of pieces along the longitudinal direction as well as into a plurality of pieces along the diameter direction for assembly. With this jacking excavation device, a conduit is constructed and when the jacking excavation device arrives at the existing manhole, the cylindrical outer shell pipe is disassembled into a unit of the sheet-shaped outer shell member and also the rotary excavating part together with its driver and the mud discharging pipe are dismounted so that they are taken out and collected through the existing manhole.
