Abstract:
To obtain a label coating agent which is capable of using a solvent of high safety and of displaying an excellent scratch-preventive functionality when coated on the surface of a plastic-made label.
The label coating agent, especially a coating agent for the purpose of coating on the surface of plastic-made labels, is characterized by containing a resin, an oxidized polyethylene and a solvent; the agent has the above oxidized polyethylene content of, for example, 0.5-7 pts.wt. relative to 100 pts.wt. of the resin; the agent may contain additionally a silicone oil. The above solvent involves an alcoholic solvent as a preferred solvent.
