Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding method capable of inhibiting underfill from being generated on a weld bead.SOLUTION: A laser welding method for a plate-like workpiece includes processes of: forming an inclined surface portion on a workpiece W to be welded to a welded member; forming an acute-angled projecting edge 7 on one side of a joined plane 5 of the workpiece by performing laser-cutting of the inclined surface portion of the workpiece W; making the joined plane 5 of the workpiece abut on an abutment surface 3 of the welded member 1 and thus arranging the projecting edge 7 to project from one side surface of the welded member 1; and emitting laser beams to the projecting edge 7 to perform laser-welding of the workpiece W to the welded member 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
