This laundry appliance comprises: a cabinet, a base part, or a surrounding structure, including fittings for a removable front panel; the removable front panel that can be attached to the cabinet, the base part, or the surrounding structure; a drum; a drum support structure for supporting the drum so that it can rotate; and a movement interface between the drum support structure and the surrounding structure, which helps move the drum support structure during the time between an action state in which the drum support structure is positioned inside the cabinet or the surrounding structure and behind the removable front panel and maintenance state in which the removable front panel is removed. The drum and the drum support structure is at least substantially disposed outside an envelope formed by the cabinet or the surrounding structure.
