Title:
LENGTH ADJUSTER FOR SUSPENSION LINK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02227310
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To aim at structural simplification, manufacturing easiness and strength improvement by attaching a spacer, providing a clearance between a bolt and link supporting the link pivotally on a body frame, to this link, and making the bolt lockable to an optional position of this clearance part, in the suspension link for automobiles.

CONSTITUTION: A link 4 is locked to a bush 1 in the state that each thread part tip of adjusting bolts 23, 24 comes into contact with a side face of the bush 1. When length of the link 4 is adjusted, for example, when it is lengthened, the adjusting bolt 24 is separated from a spacer 2 as long as the specified value, moving the link 4 to the side of the adjusting bolt 23, and the bush 1 is made recontact with the tip of the adjusting bolt 24. Next, the adjusting bolt 23 is screwed forward till its tip comes into contact with the bush 1 and thereby the link 4 is locked again. With this constitution, strength can be improved despite simple in structure.
