Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element capable of improving the heat radiation performance even if a structure which extracts light from the side of a substrate supporting an organic functional layer is adopted.SOLUTION: A light emitting element 10 includes: a translucent substrate 11; an organic functional layer 12 provided at the translucent substrate 11; a first electrode 13; and a second electrode 14. The light emitting element 10 includes a heat conduction layer 16 having heat conductivity higher than the translucent substrate 11. A part of the heat conduction layer 16 is positioned at an area which is located between the organic functional layer 12 and the translucent substrate 11 and between the first electrode 13 and the translucent substrate 11.
