Abstract:
A liquid chromatograph according to the present invention includes a plurality of flow paths individually corresponding to a plurality of mobile-phase source groups. During an analysis period for a sample, from a plurality of mobile-phase sources included in each of the mobile-phase source groups, one or more mobile phases are supplied to the flow path corresponding to that mobile-phase source group as an intermediate mixed mobile phase. A plurality of intermediate mixed mobile phases are mixed together to generate a mobile phase for analysis. When starting analysis of the sample, the mixing ratio of the plurality of intermediate mixed mobile phases is adjusted to a preset initial ratio. During the period of analysis of the sample, the mixing ratio of the plurality of intermediate mixed mobile phases is adjusted so that the mixing ratio of the plurality of intermediate mixed mobile phases temporally changes from the initial ratio. Before starting analysis of the sample, the mixing ratio of the plurality of intermediate mixed mobile phases is adjusted to the initial ratio to perform purging. When one of the terms in the initial ratio is set to fall within a predefined range including zero, before the purge operation for adjustment to the initial ratio, the plurality of intermediate mixed mobile phases are individually supplied to the plurality of flow paths.
