Abstract:
To provide a liquid crystal display device having high luminance and high contrast by eliminating unusable light leaking from an inner surface of a front light, a surface of a liquid crystal element and a surface of a polarizing plate.
The polarizing plate or a reflection type polarization film is disposed on the front surface of the front light. Thereby, unusable light which is not utilized heretofore is reduced into half without reducing luminance, and the liquid crystal display device having high luminance and high contrast is obtained.
