Abstract:

To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving display quality.

There is provided a liquid crystal display device comprising a first substrate which comprises: an insulating substrate; a first conductive layer containing a gate wiring positioned on an inner surface of the insulating substrate, a common potential line and a first pad portion; a second conductive layer containing a common electrode which is positioned on an inner surface of the insulating substrate and in contact with the common potential line and a second pad portion laminated on the first pad portion; a first insulating film for covering the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer; a third conductive layer containing a source wiring positioned on the first insulating film: a second insulating film for covering the third conductive layer and the first insulating film; a fourth conductive layer containing a pixel electrode which is positioned in each pixel in the second insulating film and in which a slit facing the common electrode is formed and a third pad portion in contact with the second pad portion through a first contact hole which penetrates the second insulating film to the second pad portion; and a first alignment film for covering the pixel electrode.
