To provide a loom of a simple device without occupying a space, capable of being used for understanding the structure and action of the loom accurately, also simply performing the preparation of weaving, and capable of being used for a training material and also for hobbies such as a patch work, etc.

This loom includes a rectangular frame body by horizontal view, installed with engaging parts for engaging yarns on at least a pair of opposite sides, an opening tool for forming an opening part at near the central part of warp yarns extended almost horizontally over between the engaging parts of the frame body, a weft yarn-inserting tool for inserting the weft yarn into the opened warp yarns opened up with the opening tool, and a beating up tool for combing the inserted weft yarn in the opened part to the weave front side for packing stitches, wherein, the opening tool is provided by pivoting a swinging arm at the side surface part of opposing side of the frame body horizontal to the warp yarns as capable of swinging, attaching an opened part-supporting member installed with the opening part having weft yarn inserting holes over the pair of pivoted swinging arms, making the warp yarn inserting holes of the opening part as a distance of every other one of the warp yarns and making the swinging arm as capable of swinging.
