Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a foamed fiber capable of finely foaming by suppressing the coloration with the decomposed material of a foaming agent or side reactions, and the foamed fiber obtained by the method of production.

This method for producing the foamed fiber comprises introducing a thermoplastic polymer containing spherical porous particles carrying the foaming agent only in the pores at or higher temperature than the decomposition temperature of the foaming agent to a spinneret, making it a high pressure at the spinneret, then ejecting and taking up after cooling.
