To provide a narrowband resonant circuit for measuring the loss of the ferroelectric component.
A tunable ferroelectric component (610 to 614) and a narrowband resonant circuit (610 to 620) for measuring the loss of the ferroelectric component are disclosed. The ferroelectric component may be a capacitor integrated in the resonant circuit. The testing method eliminates other factors of loss to isolate the loss due to the ferroelectric material and to demonstrate that this loss is low. The method comprises a process for manufacturing a circuit with a ferroelectric component, a process for measuring combined loss including insertion loss caused by the ferroelectric component and other losses caused by other loss factors, a process for deciding a component of insertion loss caused by other loss factors and a process for deciding a loss related to the ferroelectric component by removing a component caused by other loss factors from the measured combined losses.
