Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical element component capable of improving service life by properly forming an oil film between a first mechanical element member such as a rolling element, and a second mechanical element member such as a raceway ring.SOLUTION: A mechanical element component 1 includes a rolling element 11 having a rolling surface 21, a raceway ring 12 having a raceway surface 25 kept into contact with the rolling surface 21, and a hard coating film 22 formed on the rolling surface 21. The rolling surface 21 and the raceway surface 25 have prescribed surface roughness by forming projecting portions and recessed portions, an oil film is formed between the rolling surface 21 and the raceway surface 25 by supplying a lubricant, the lubricant relatively flows in a prescribed flowing direction between the rolling surface 21 and the raceway surface 25, and at least the projecting portions 21a of the rolling surface 21 out of the rolling surface 21 and the raceway surface 25, have an orthogonal length in a direction orthogonal to the flowing direction, longer than a parallel length in the flowing direction in a face of the rolling surface 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
