Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peptide which is sufficiently excellent in tolerance to metabolism, has a stable structure in vivo, and can penetrate a cell membrane to reach a cell.SOLUTION: The invention provides a macrocyclic peptide in which four or more amino acids form a macrocyclic structure, wherein at least two amino acids which are not adjacent each other have hydrophobic side chains, and in hydrophilic environment, the hydrophobic side chains interact with each other in the inside of the ring of the macrocyclic peptide.
