Abstract:
To detect the malfunction of a selector valve for selecting a passage for exhaust gas.
An ECU executes a program which includes a step (S1100) of comparing the detected temperature of exhaust gas with a map value when controlling the selector valve to be closed (YES in S1000), a step (S1300) of determining the selector valve to be normal when the temperature of the exhaust gas is higher than the map value (YES in S1100), and a step (S1400) of determining the selector valve to be abnormal when the temperature of the exhaust gas is lower than the map value (NO in S1100).
