PURPOSE: To form deep masonry joint patterns clearly and provide long life for use of the same by a method wherein a pattern-shaping formwork material consists of formwork materials for forming the deep grooves of a decorative pattern and a formwork material for forming shallow recess and protrusion patterns, and the former is made of a harder material than that of which the latter is made.

CONSTITUTION: A pattern-shaping formwork material 9 consists of formwork materials 9a for forming the deep grooves of a decorative pattern and a formwork material 9b for forming shallow recess and protrusion patterns, and the formwork materials 9a for forming the deep grooves are made of a harder material than that of which the formwork material 9b for forming the shallow recess and protrusion patterns is made. For example, a rubber sheet with a stucco pattern is used as the formwork material 9b for forming the shallow recess and protrusion patterns, and the projected formwork materials 9a for forming the deep grooves such as masonry joints are protuberantly provided downward on the rubber sheet. It is preferred that the hardness of the formwork material 9b for forming the shallow recess and protrusion patterns is in a range of 40 to 80(Hs) in accordance with the JIS spring hardness (Hs). It is also preferred that the projected strips 9a as the formwork materials for forming the deep grooves have the hardness of not less than 90(Hs) in accordance with the spring hardness (Hs) if they are made of hard rubber.
