To manufacture a ceramic based construction material which promotes the effective utilization of waste materials of cement products of which the manufactures are unknown, and is excellent in strength.

This ceramic based construction material is manufactured in such a manner that cement, silica sand and a pulp fiber as a reinforcing fiber are made as main materials, and an aggregate and a filler or the like which are required are added to the main materials by a ceramic based cement blending. In such a case, as the aggregate and the filler of the ceramic based cement blending material, in addition to odds and ends or the like of fiber reinforced cement plates which are generated at the time of production in a factory, crushed articles of scraps of cement products which are generated when a building is demolished are used. A coloidal silica is added to the whole of blending materials containing the scrap crushed articles, and the blending materials are uniformly mixed. Then, a product is shaped with the mixture, and cured.
