PURPOSE: To stabilize a manufacture and to improve the quality of a product by providing a graphite made core at the center of a mold, constraining the solidified tip of the inner diameter by the tip thereof as well and executing continuous casting with feeding an inert gas to the tip of a core mold and the hollow part.
CONSTITUTION: A supporting bar 12 is arranged on an upper part refractory 3, a graphite made core 10 is fixed and set so as to extend longer enough to the lower part from the solidified tip. A gas leading in pipe 17 is provided by penetrating the center of a core mold 10, the inert gas 18 of an Ar gas, etc. is fed from the pipe 17 and filled up at the lower part of the core mold 10 and the vicinity of a hollow part 13. An Al alloy molten metal 1 is fed to a molten metal holding part 4 from a casting trough 2, cooled at a water cooling metal part 6 and a solidifying shell 7 is formed. In the case, the inert gas 18 constrains the erosion and deterioration of the core mold 10, so a hollow billet 14 is manufactured stably. The quality of a product is improved because the deterioration of the core is prevented.
