Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition having high luminance at low cost by baking a mixture of phosphor particles with heat-treated alkaline earth metal sulfate particles.
CONSTITUTION: Phosphor particles (e.g. Y2O3.Eu phosphor particles) are mixed, preferably by a mechanical means, with alkaline earth metal sulfate particles (e. g. BaSO4 particles) heat-treated preferably at 550-1550°C. This mixture is baked preferably at 550-1550°C.
