Abstract:
To provide a propeller guard, a vessel, and a design method for propeller guard for vessel capable of preventing damage to a propeller without deteriorating propulsion performance of the vessel.SOLUTION: A propeller guard 3 includes: a first partition unit 31 extending within a range of approximately 1.1D to 1.3D vertically downward from a propeller rotational center of a propeller 2 with rotation trajectory radius defined as D, and approximately 0.5D to 0.8D in the horizontal direction from the propeller rotational center; a second partition unit 32 extending vertically upward along an outer periphery end edge of the propeller to an end edge at a height position of approximately 0.4D to 1.0D vertically upward from the propeller rotational center in a position separated from the propeller rotational center by only approximately 1.1D to 1.3D; and a third partition unit 33 extending vertically upward so as to be connected with a hull within a range of approximately 0.6D to 1.0D in the horizontal direction from the propeller rotational center.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
