Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recovering of dust in dry state by limiting the recovery of heat from an exhaust gas to a temperature range that allows the inhibition of dioxins while quickly cooling a high temperature exhaust gas to restrict the exhaust concentration of the dioxins from an incinerator plant.
SOLUTION: In quickly cooling a high temperature exhaust gas, the temperature us lowered in a short time within 1 sec. between 250-350°C near 300°C to extremely shorten retention time of the exhaust gas near 300°C, hence minimizing the regeneration of dioxins. In order to achieve this object a double-tube structured spray nozzle 23 is so arranged that pressurized air with a flow rate of 0.1-100 kg/min. is injected spiraling inside the double-tube structure to atomize a cooling liquid for spraying. The liquid thus atomized and sprayed is mixed with an exhaust gas with a gas velocity of 10-50 m/s and a spiraling speed of 1-30 rad/s. This can restrict the regeneration of the dioxins thereby enabling the recovery of dust being kept dry.
