PURPOSE: To miniaturize and simplify the mechanism of an apparatus which transfers an image-receiving layer to a body to which the image is transfered after forming a printing image on the image-receiving layer of an intermediate transfer recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: After an image is formed on an image-receiving layer of an intermediate transfer recording medium 2 by printing from a thermal transfer sheet 1 at an image-printing part 81, a transfer system consisting of an intermediate transfer recording medium roll 28, a feed roll 28 and a take-up roll 29 for the recording medium 2 is moved to an intended transfer part 82, where the image-receiving layer with the printed image is transferred onto a body 3 to which the image is transfered.
