Abstract:

To easily apply metallic tone decoration to a porcelain enamel face, to form a uniform coating of mica having heat resistance on a porcelain enamel face, to remarkably improve the heat resistance of porcelain enamel, and therefore, to obtain a porcelain enamel face dealing with heating by an electromagnetic induction heater, heating by a halogen heater, and heating by a sheath heater which are recently becoming increasingly popular.

The powder of mica or titanium-coated mica is slurried with a dispersant such as water and alcohol. A porcelain enamel face is coated with the obtained slurry by a spray method or the like. Next, the coated material is fired to uniformly bake flaky mica or titanium-coated mica to the porcelain enamel surface. The content of the power of the mica or titanium-coated mica in the slurry is preferably 25 to 50 wt.%.
