Abstract:

To provide a method for collecting crude zinc oxide from raw material containing zinc in which crude zinc oxide is collected as fly ash by adding carbon reducing material to the raw material containing zinc consisting of zinc-containing dust, and roasting the raw material in a reducing and volatile furnace, and the dehalogenation cost of crude zinc oxide is reduced.

One or two or more kinds of zinc-containing dusts A1, A2 ... An are classified based on the index I1 = (nK + nNa)/nCl, where nK, nNa and nCl are the mole number of K, Na and Cl containing in unit mass of zinc-containing dusts A1, A2, ... An. The index I1 of a zinc-containing raw material B obtained by blending zinc-containing dusts A1, A2, ... An after classification is set to be ≥ 1.25.
