Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully dissolve the adverse effect generated in the case of little sand quantity by discharging recovered sand stored after cooling and screening, according to the sand/metal ratio, cooling a casting, cutting the sand and separating the sand and the casting to take out the casting.
SOLUTION: A mold already pouring molten metal is shifted to shake out the mold with a vibrating conveyor 4 and charged in the mixed state of the shaken-out sand and the casting into a rotary vibrating drum 5. In the case of being ≤8 of the sand/metal ratio of the shaken-out sand and the casting, the supply of the recovered sand into the rotary vibrating drum 5 is not executed, but in the case of exceeding value 8 to the sand/metal ratio, the recovered sand having the quantity according to the sand/water ratio, is discharged from a recovered sand bin 1 and supplied into the rotary vibrating drum 5. The sand, casting and recovered sand are mutually heat- exchanged and the casting is cooled and the shaken-out sand receives the thermal effect and the bonding strength thereof is lowered to separate the casting from the sand. During this, the casting is efficiently cooled by contacting with the sand having about 8 the sand/metal ratio and also, taken out without producing hitting mark by receiving the cushion effect with the sand.
