PURPOSE: To provide a cluster-multiprocessor cooperation processing method for attaining a rapid remote procedure call(RPC) and a distributed file system.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of the RPC, an RPC request side cluster writes RPC request information and a parameter in a shared storage device 15 and an RPC receiving side cluster reads out the RPC request information at first, and after securing a resource necessary for RPC request processing, reads out the parameter to execute the RPC processing. In the case of the distributed file system, a remote file access receiving side cluster caches a part or all of files in the device 15. Since queuing for data transmission/reception, the copying of the RPC parameter in a main memory and excess inter-cluster communication can be removed in said constitution, RPC processing performance is improved. In addition, a distributed file accessing time can be shortened by reading out file data from the device 15.
