Title:
METHOD OF DETECTING PINCH OF INDUCTION HEATING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3308950
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably detect pinch phenomenon, thus prevent hot metal from being separated and power source trip from occurring when heating the hot metal in the metal mixer using an induction heating apparatus.
SOLUTION: In an apparatus for controlling groove type induction heating apparatus which generates an inductive current flowing a path in the hot metal by conducting the coil which occurs magnetic flux for interlinking hot metal path formed under the mixed metal furnace and hot metal path of loop shape formed by the hot metal path formed under the furnace and hot metal, the voltage and current of the coil are detected and stored, the voltage and current of the coil are detected after a predetermined time, the voltage and current are compared with the above voltage and current, and if the voltage increases and the current decreases simultaneously, pinch generation signal is outputted and the occurrence of the pinch phenomenon are detected.
