Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for crushing lumber by electricity capable of surely applying a lightning discharge to a foreign material in the electrical crushing and a device for recovering the foreign material to recover the solid foreign material existing in the lumber so that the lumber can be crushed along the foreign material and the foreign material can be surely removed from the lumber.
SOLUTION: The device is provided with a compressor 5 to compress the lumber W and an electrical crushing means for crushing the lumber Wh by dipping the lumber Wh in a liquid 41 and impressing a high voltage. The lumber W to be crushed is compressed and the compressed lumber Wh is dipped in the liquid 41. The crushing is carried out by impressing the high voltage to the compressed lumber Wh in the liquid 41 from the compressing direction. Thereby the foreign material in the lumber W can be surely separated and recovered.
