The inspection device 2 inspects a computer system 1 including: a fan 4; and a fan rotation speed control means 3 that controls the rotational speed of the fan 4. The inspection device 2 includes: a rotation speed determining means 5 that measures a rotation speed of the fan 4 and determines whether or not the measured rotation speed is approximately equal to a specified rotation speed; a cumulative time calculating means 6 that calculates a cumulative time when the fan 4 rotates at a speed approximately equal to the specified rotation speed based on the determination of the rotation speed determining means 5; a cumulative time determining means 7 that determines which is longer or shorter between the cumulative time calculated by the cumulative time calculating means 6 and a specified time; and a rotation speed instructing means 8 that outputs, to the fan rotation speed control means 3, instructions to rotate the fan 4 at the specified rotation speed when the cumulative time determining means 7 determines that the cumulative time is shorter than the specified time.
