To provide a method of manufacturing coated particles capable of sufficiently reducing exposure of internal particles.

The method of manufacturing the coated particles having particles and metal coating that coats the particles includes the steps of: obtaining fluid containing a dispersion medium containing carbon dioxide in a supercritical or subcritical state and metal complex dissolved in the metal dioxide, and the particles in the dispersion medium; depositing the metal complex on the surface of the particles by reducing a pressure of the fluid; and decomposing the metal complex deposited on the surface of the particles by increasing the temperature of the fluid to coat the surface of the particles with the metal coating, thus obtaining the coated particles.
