Abstract:
To reliably remove sludge existing in the vicinity of a steel strip with a device having a simple constitution.
In the apparatus for pickling the steel strip, this device for removing the sludge comprises spray nozzles 2 and 3 which spray a pickling liquid so as to produce a flow of the pickling liquid along the top and back surfaces of the steel strip 100, and discharge the sludge existing on the top and back surfaces outside a pickling tank together with the flow; and a control part 13 for controlling the form of the pickling liquid sprayed from the spray nozzles 2 and 3.
