Title:
METHOD FOR FEEDING LIQUID COMONOMER INTO POLYMERIZATION OCCURRING IN FLUIDIZED BED REACTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001098006
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for feeding one or more kinds of monomers in liquid state, in the polymerization of a viscous polymer such as EPDM.

A vapor-phase polymerization method for feeding at least one kind of liquid olefinic monomer is presented, to be applied in the presence of a catalyst under polymerizing conditions and optionally in the presence of an inactive particulate material. This method is characterized in that one or more kinds of liquid olefinic monomers are injected directly into a fluidized bed reactor from at least one nozzle or tube protruding at least 5.1 cm (2 in) and at least 20% of the reactor radius into the fluidized bed and positioned at a level higher by 5-90% of the fluid bed thickness than a distributor plate installed at or near the reactor bottom.
