PURPOSE: To fit a heat pipe in the condition excellent in the heat transfer performance by heating the heat pipe at high temperature in the inserted condition in a fitting hole, increasing the inner pressure of the heat pipe to achieve the plastic deformation of a container in the expanding direction, and bringing the outer circumferential surface of the heat pipe into close contact with the inner circumferential surface of the fitting hole.
CONSTITUTION: A heat pipe 12 is inserted in a fitting hole 11a formed in a metallic plate 11, and the metallic plate 11 is stored in a high temperature furnace to be heated for the prescribed period of time. As the temperature of the metallic plate 11 rises, the heat pipe is hated, and the working liquid in the heat pipe 12 is vaporized to increase the inner pressure in the heat pipe 12. The inner pressure in the heat pipe 12 is increased in the heated condition at high temperature, and the heat pipe is expanded and plastically deformed in the radially expanding direction. The clearance between the inner circumferential surfaces of the heat pipe 12 and the fitting hole 11a is lost and the outer circumferential surface of the heat pipe 12 is brought into close contact with the inner circumferential surface of the fitting hole 11a. The heat pipe 12 is slowly cooled to be annealed, and the close contact condition to the inner circumferential surface of the fitting hole 11a is settled.
