Title:
METHOD FOR LOCATING FAILURE POINTS USING MULTITERMINAL QUANTITY OF ELECTRICITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3773020
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly specify failure points, even when the failure occurs at a power transmission line having an end without an electricity quantity- collecting terminal or even if these are multiple failures at different points.
SOLUTION: This method relates to locating a failure point by operating the distance from an end to the failure point with the use of a quantity of electricity measured at a plurality of terminals of a transmission line, in order to specify the failure point generated on the transmission line of a power system. An impedance of a phase judged as a failure generation phase is calculated for each end with use of a voltage or a current of each phase at each end of the transmission line, when failures occur. The calculated impedance is compared with a known impedance of the transmission line, whereby the position of the failure point is temporarily located at each end (S201, S202). When the temporarily located results of failure points calculated for each end are compared and detected to converge in a fixed range, a middle value for the temporarily located results is set as the location result (S203-S205).
