Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing anisotropic bond magnet in which orientations can be easily converged on a pole and which is assembled on a rotor to reduce cogging torque.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes a first step of filling a rubber mold having a U-shaped cavity with a compound granule of rare earth magnet powder, thermosetting resin and thermoplastic resin to mold the compound granule to provide thereto a magnetic field orientation in a parallel magnetic field; and a second step of pressing the rubber mold with a die which has a pressing face with a curvature to deform the magnet molding in the cavity into an arc shape so as to cause orientation directions 11 of magnetic molding to converge on a pole. Preferably, the second step is carried out in a state the compound granule is heated higher than a softening temperature of the thermoplastic resin.
