Abstract:

To propose a method of manufacturing an oxygen-consuming electrode used especially for chlor-alkali electrolysis, which can be continuously operated with respect to relatively large area and a relatively large number of items, and which has no such defects related to known manufacturing methods, as well as an electrode manufactured by the method, especially by a complex use of a nonadhesive agent.

Compression and press are performed using a roller press having a pressing roller coated with tungsten carbide having a surface roughness of 0.5 μm or less.
