Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a titanium member having high hardness, a color intrinsic to titanium, and a surface on which fine uneven pattern appears.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a titanium member includes the steps of: first heating of heating a raw material titanium member containing pure titanium or a titanium alloy, by elevating from room temperature to a temperature T1 of 835°C or higher 935°C or lower under reduced pressure, and second heating of obtaining a titanium member, by heating the titanium member undergone the first heating step, by elevating from the temperature T1 to a temperature T2 of 950°C or higher and 1150°C or lower, under reduced pressure, over a time HT2 of 30 minutes or longer and 8 hours or shorter; and introducing a nitrogen gas or water vapor, the titanium member has an uneven pattern on a surface, and the Vickers hardness is lager by HV30 than the raw material titanium member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
