To provide a tread manufacturing method for manufacturing a tire configured to reduce rolling resistance without reducing tire performance such as wear resistance and steering stability (grip performance) on a wet road surface without requiring preliminary bonding, and to provide tread manufactured by the method, and a pneumatic tire including the tread.
In a tread manufacturing method, tread having a base portion and a cap portion formed on the base portion is manufactured. The outermost layer constituting a groove wall and a groove bottom of a groove portion provided in the tread is formed of rubber having an elastic modulus of 1.3 times or more that of the rubber in portions other than the outermost layer of the cap portion. The tread is vulcanized in a flat-shaped mold.
