PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing lactams through photonitrosation of a cycloalkane using nitrosyl chloride (NOCL).SOLUTION: The photonitrosation is carried out by means of LEDs emitting a monochromatic light. Beckmann transposition/dechlorination of oxime hydrochloride generated during the photonitrosation is preferably carried out in a glass microreactor.SELECTED DRAWING: None
