Abstract:

To provide a method for preparing a quinacridone sulfonic acid derivative in a high yield.

A quinacridone based pigment intermediate is brought into contact with a sulfonating agent whose temperature has been set at 85-95°C to effect sulfonation and, as a result, the corresponding quinacridone sulfonic acid derivative can be obtained in a good yield.
