Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a water-soluble liquid (e.g. grinding fluid, cutting fluid, coolant, working fluid, or lubricating fluid) from forming sludge by the action of metallic ions.
SOLUTION: A chelating agent is added to a water-soluble liquid to bond to metallic ions present therein. The metallic ions bonded to the chelating agent are transferred to a chelate ion exchange resin when the ion exchange resin is disposed in the lubrication route of the liquid.
