Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aromatic monovinyl-based resin hang excellent heat stability, an improved color tone of obtained molding, slight smell and excellent moldability.
SOLUTION: This method for producing an aromatic monovinyl-based resin is characterized in that, in producing the aromatic monovinyl-based resin, a 3-arylbenzofuran in an amount of 0.006-0.5 wt.% based on the resin at an outlet of a final reactor is added to a polymerization solution in a polymerization process or a degasification process, after the polymerization process or before the degasification process.
