Abstract:
The process for preparing a specific azo compound in the present invention is capable of synthesizing a specific azo compound safely at a low cost and in a high purity, which is a process for preparing a compound represented by the formula (I), comprising reacting a compound represented by the formula (II) with an arylating or heterylating agent represented by the formula (III) in the presence of a base and a phase transfer catalyst.
