Abstract:
To provide a method for readily and efficiently producing an interferon β complex in which interferon β can be bound to a water-soluble polymer without impairing a biological activity of the interferon β.
The method for producing the interferon β complex comprises binding the interferon β to the water-soluble polymer at pH 6.5 to 8.5 in the presence of an agent for suppressing lowering of interferon activity. The agent for suppressing lowering of interferon activity includes a saccharide such as glucose or a polyhydric alcohol such as ethylene glycol.
