Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a spherical palladium powder having high conductivity.SOLUTION: Iron-reducing bacteria are added to an aqueous solution having pH of 0.5 or lower or 7.0 and containing a palladium ion, together with a reductant under an anaerobic condition; and palladium nano-size nuclear particles are formed and precipitated, and then a supernatant is removed, thereby forming the palladium nano-size nuclear particles. An aqueous solution having pH of 0.5 or lower or 7.0 and containing a palladium ion is added to the palladium nano-size nuclear particles a plurality of times, together with a reductant to coarsen the palladium nano-size nuclear particles, thereby producing spherical palladium particles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
